   For the money, nothing else in its class. Less than 50 bucks, you have a servicable breakout box for fast no-comm tests and signal checks for various potential buss issues.
   Improvements Id like to see: Cable joints need to be reinforced for strength where they attatch. Unit should have red/green LEDs for fast power and ground verify and logic probe style pulse flash capable LEDs on the comm signal pins (Which would tell you what protocol was actually active based on which pin flashes, and if it was currently communicating). The bridged pin 4/5 ground may hide potential problems as it will jumper repair a bad ground whenever unit is plugged in and you wouldnt even see it till disconnect. leaving them seperate would be easier to diagnose ground issues with. Unit should have breaker/fuse protection against VW short circuit problem when aftermarket radios are installed. (Posted on 11/26/08)
